TULSA, OK -- Tulsa homicide detectives have solved more than 70% of the murders committed this year. But, they say they're working very hard, to make that 100%, that's why they're asking for your help.
This murder happened on October 5th, just after noon at 1243 South 73rd East Avenue. The call went out as a shooting and officers found Billy Ryder with a gunshot wound.
"Two individuals forced their way into the Billy Ryder's apartment. They're demanding money and during the course of the robbery, they shoot Mr. Ryder," said TPD Officer Leland Ashley.
Ryder died at the hospital, and police have very little to go on to solve his murder.
Witnesses think the suspects were driving a newer model silver Nissan Maxima or Altima.
"Apparently, robbery is the motive which led to this homicide so we'd like to get these guys off the streets," said Officer Ashley.
Getting them off the streets would make citizens safer plus bring peace to Billy Ryder's family.
Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS or text to crimes and start with "tip 918" so they know it's for Tulsa.
Everything is anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.
