TULSA, OK -- A man was shot while trying to break up a fight in Tulsa overnight.

Tulsa Police say just after midnight, police officers were called to the 3500 block of East Woodrow Street.

Police say two women had gotten into an argument and one pulled a gun in order to get the other to leave. A boyfriend of the woman with the gun, identified as 31-year old Ronald Tucker tried to intervene and take the gun away.  Police say during the struggle, Tucker's girlfriend shot him in the chest.

Police officers found Tucker lying in the front yard while the two women continued fighting.

Police broke up the fight and took 29-year old Shanay McComb to the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

Tucker was taken to a Tulsa hospital, where he was last reported in serious condition.
