TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa kids got to show off their green thumbs on Saturday. The students are part of the Global Gardens Program, an interactive group that teaches children how to grow and take care of plants.
On Saturday, the children took their plants and herbs to the Cherry Street Farmers' Market to cash in all their hard work.
"It's just been a huge learning experience for them. A lot of them couldn't, they told me they were waking up like it was Christmas. So, it's a big day for them," said Shea Evy with Tulsa Junior League.
The money the kids raised will go back into the Global Gardens Program. They plan to sell more of their produce on October 4th.
