BROKEN ARROW, OK -- About 70 QuikTrip employees spent the day caring for students at Union's Rosa Parks Elementary near 137th East Avenue and 46th Place South.
As part of the United Way's Day of Caring, volunteers built a pergola, a fence, several raised beds, picnic tables and even some bird feeders.
Students use the gardens as part of an after school program that teaches them how to grow their own plants and vegetables.
"What our students have put together, they're just making it bigger and larger so that we have more students that will be able to participate," said Union's Leslie Officer.
Rosa Parks is a community school and encourages businesses like QT to work with students.
