TULSA, OK -- Many drivers will witness some kind of careless driving everyday.

"People running red lights, people cutting people off, all kinds of stuff," said driver Michael Carter.

"Everything from people not yielding when they're supposed to or not pulling over when they should. I saw someone pull out in front of a fire truck. But then, mistakes happen all the time too," said driver Kirby Davis.

Now, a new driver safety program may make some drivers a bit more cautious. It's called Teletag. If you see someone driving in a way you think is reckless, you can call 1-877-7TELETAG.

"It makes all drivers accountable, but especially teenage children. It makes them accountable to the people that have immediate impact on their lives on a daily basis, their parents," said Hank Haines, Teletag owner.

You can also register all your cars on Teletag's website. This lets you keep track of any complaints that may be made against you and you can respond to them.

"It keeps you honest," said Carter. "It'll make you a better driver knowing someone can report you."

No legal action will be taken if you're reported. Haines says the collected information will eventually be studied in hopes of finding ways to create safer roadways.

While everyone wants to be safe, some drivers have their concerns.

"I think it's kind of an invasion of privacy," said driver John Lowe.

"Without any verification or proof, someone may have an agenda of their own they want to pursue or they may just be deceptive in what they report," said Davis.

Haines says it's not an invasion of privacy because the incidents are happening on public property. He also points out Teletag has a method for determining when the reported information just doesn't add up.

"Main purpose is to create accountability on the road system, but the biggest benefit is for teenage drivers," said Haines.
