Both eastbound and westbound traffic on the Turner Turnpike near Kellyville in Creek County have been reopened after an overnight manhunt and search of a semi-tractor trailer.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says traffic on the turnpike was blocked for several hours late Wednesday after troopers surrounded a tractor trailer parked on the shoulder of the highway.

OHP troopers believed a murder suspect out of California was riding in the semi, but the driver insisted no one else was inside.  The troopers eventually let the driver go, but still believe the murder suspect was somewhere in the area.

"We've tracked this vehicle by cell phone ping, which means the suspect in or around that vehicle had a cell phone and when it was activated the cell phone tower pinged our dispatch," said OHP trooper Lt. George Brown.

No one has been arrested.
