Suspect Charged In Fatal Shooting

A Broken Arrow man has been charged with the killing his son-in-law.

Jerry Noel, 62, faces a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of Bobby Reed.

Broken Arrow Police say the two men got into an argument at Noel's home in the 400 block of East Midway Street, when Noel reportedly shot Reed twice in the chest.

Noel claims it was in self-defense.

Relatives have told authorities that Noel had threatened violence against most of his family in the past.
