Wednesday is National Lemonade Day and a Tulsa Chick-fil-A restaurant was doing its part.
With more than 12,000 lemons, more than 800 pounds of sugar and 500 gallons of ice water, a world record was broken at 71st and Garnett Wednesday morning.
A representative from the Guinness Book of World Records was on site for the attempt and certified that there were 839 gallons of fresh lemonade made.
All of that is now on sale at stands around Tulsa.
The proceeds from those lemon aid stands will go to the Little Light House of Tulsa.
The new record will be recorded in the "world's largest soft drink" category. The previous record was 612 gallons of orange juice, made in Florida.
