One of the largest growing churches in Broken Arrow just got bigger. The Church at Battle Creek located at 3025 North Aspen opened a new state-of-the-art auditorium on Sunday.
The new sanctuary was transformed from an old mall from the 1980's to a 100,000 square foot church that holds thousands.
It's the church's 5-year anniversary, growing from 129 members to 5,000 in half a decade.
"We're here. We're a church for all ages. We're not one generation congregation. It's for all people no matter who they are or their background. We believe this church is to exist for the 800,000 un-churched people in Tulsa," said Alex Himaya, Church at Battle Creek.
The new Sanctuary is only temporary. They are planning on building a newer worship center. When that happens, their "Kids Center" will move in.
