Oklahomans Polled About Crime

How safe do you feel?  The latest Oklahoma Poll reveals that about a third of those questioned feel less safe than they did four years ago.

The News On 6 and the Tulsa World polled about 750 people across the state on their attitudes toward crime and personal safety.  The results found 31% say they feel less safe than they did four years ago.  Another 6% say they feel safer, but most say they feel about the same.

When asked if they worried about becoming a victim of gun violence, 19% of respondents say yes, but the vast majority, 81% say no.

Finally, we asked if they favored stricter gun control laws.  Most Oklahomans, 61%, say no.
