Tulsa police need your help finding two teenage boys who disappeared while walking to the store last week. News On 6 anchor Jennifer Loren reports they were last seen near one of their homes at 21st Street and Garnett.
Sheila Marion and Neisha Russell are just becoming friends. Both of their sons went missing last Wednesday night. Neisha says she's missing her son and a friend.
"I had him young. We grew up together. It's my boy, you know? It's my baby," said mother Neisha Russell.
Neisha's son, 19-year-old Derek Russell, graduated from East Central High School last year. She says he'd been applying for jobs at local fast food restaurants leading up to his disappearance.
Russell and his friend, 17-year-old Martin Marion, were last seen near the Fiesta Mart at 21st and Garnett Wednesday night after taking the bus to apply for jobs at Incredible Pizza.
"He just wanted to find a job. And he said mama, that will keep me out of trouble," said mother Shelia Marion.
Both boys have had run-ins with Tulsa police. But, their mothers say they were doing well. They don't believe anyone had a reason to hurt them and they don't believe they ran away.
"Then I'm thinking, ‘does he have his medicine with him' because he's diabetic. And I was okay until I found his medicine," said Russell.
Derek Russell is diabetic and left his insulin at home. Marion Martin is asthmatic and his mother says he never leaves his inhaler behind. That's the main concern Monday night for these mothers.
"Neither one of them can deal with the heat right now, diabetic and asthmatic. They can't," said Marion.
They're hoping someone saw something or knows something that will help bring them home.
"We need to know where these kids are at. We need them to come home. That's my baby," said Marion.
Russell was last seen a blue shirt, black jean shorts, white shoes with orange shoe strings.
Marion was last seen wearing a green/white/blue pullover shirt, khaki cargo pants and army green Nike shoes.
