Lawton Man Arraigned In Child's Death

LAWTON, Okla. (AP) -- A Lawton man accused in the 2007 death of his infant son has been arraigned in Comanche County District Court.

Prosecutors filed a second-degree manslaughter count against Eugene Francis Haith for the September 9th death of his 7-month-old son, Francisco.

Authorities say Eugene Haith gave inconsistent statements about injuries to Francisco, whom doctors say was suffering from severe internal bleeding when he was brought to a Lawton hospital.
