A fire at an apparent meth lab sends two people to the hospital.
It happened around one o'clock Thursday morning. EMSA was called to the home near 46th Street North and Lewis. They arrived to find two people had been burned in a fire inside a detached garage.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire and then discovered chemicals believed to be used in a meth lab. They also found some suspicious containers.
"We have called Tulsa Police Bomb Squad to the location. Initial fire crews found some containers inside that they thought were of some concern. So, they've called them to have them analyzed and evaluated by the bomb squad," said Tulsa Fire Captain Michael Baker.
Officers helped block off the area while crews went through the debris. Tulsa Fire and Tulsa Police are both investigating exactly what happened.
EMSA transported one victim in critical condition. The other was transported in serious condition.
Damage to the home is estimated at between $5,000 and $10,000 dollars.
