Man Runs Over Boy With Truck, Child Dies

In Custer County, near Ardmore, the district attorney is trying to decide if he'll file charges against a man in the death of 19-month-old Raymond Palmer.

Raymond's foster parents were throwing a barbecue when police say a guest, Heath Claborn, accidentally backed his truck over the boy.

Claborn served as the Ardmore High School wrestling coach and says he's devastated over the incident. Ardmore residents are stunned.

"It's just so sad, feel sorry for the family," said Paula Boyd, who lives in Ardmore.

Authorities tell us Claborn has given a blood sample to help investigators determine if alcohol was involved. DHS removed three other foster children from the home after the accident.
