The Tulsa Animal Shelter says it's tired of being a dumping ground for other cities' unwanted pets. They're raising rates to keep animals out of the gas chamber.
The city had been losing money. It had been only charging $4 to euthanize strays brought in from out-of-town.
Now, they'll charge $15 and execute animals by lethal injection which is considered a more humane way to put animals down.
