Hot and windy weather will continue Thursday with a chance for severe thunderstorms returning to much of the state Thursday evening and early Friday.
The News On 6 WARN Team says the best chance for severe weather will occur after 4 p.m. Thursday and continue overnight into Friday morning.
The National Weather Service has declared a tornado watch for northwestern Oklahoma and central Kansas Thursday and is warning residents of the potential for destructive conditions.
A strong low pressure system will be moving through our region Thursday and Friday and some of the storms that develop are expected to become severe. Risks may include large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes.
