Standoff Ends Safely

Tulsa police were locked in an armed standoff for several hours on Saturday. Officers were checking on an elderly man's wellbeing when he turned violent. The man was armed with a handgun.

He went into his room and threatened to shoot police who came in.

Officers were eventually able to get the man out safely.
