Free Inspections Ready Boaters For Holiday

With Memorial Day weekend just around the corner, getting your boat inspected could help you avoid costly penalties. On Sunday, the OHP and Bass Pro Shop held free boat inspections and educational seminars on new boating laws.

A new law requires kids to take a six hour boating course before hitting the lake. Oklahoma law also requires all boaters to carry their certification on board at all times.

Getting certified can be done online at your own pace, and will cost about $25.
