Some students at Tulsa's Skelly Elementary got an opportunity to take shots at their principal on Tuesday.
Educators challenged students to read 600,000 minutes between October and March of this school year. And, they did.
Their prize: Principal Mike Howe dressed up like a clown and gave the school's top readers a chance to pelt him with water balloons.
"I'll do anything to get kids to read. Anything," said Principal Mike Howe of Skelly Elementary.
The challenge is part of Skelly's Home School Book-It program. In all, the children read nearly 750,000 minutes.
