A man is shot at an east Tulsa apartment complex and Tulsa Police are investigating.
The shooting happened at 39th and Garnett around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police were checking on a disturbance call involving someone in an apartment when the shooting happened. Officers say they were called out to the complex because of a dispute involving a knife.
Police officers knocked on the door of one of the apartments possibly involved and no one answered. Tulsa Police were at a second apartment, when they heard one gunshot. It came from the apartment they were just at.
The victim was a Hispanic man. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital.
"We don't know if the shooting was part of the original disturbance call or just totally unrelated or not," said Tulsa Police Captain Brett Bailey.
Witnesses tell police they saw two men in dark clothes leaving the scene. But without a vehicle description or any more information, police have very little to work with right now.
Police say still do not have a motive for the shooting.
