Oral Roberts University students took advantage of the dry weather on Saturday to give back to the community. Students rallied all across the metro area at sites like Habitat for Humanity, Tulsa Parks and the Tulsa Dream Center to beautify the city.
Students helped with home repairs, construction work and yard clean-up. The News On 6 caught-up with a group of students who was tearing down a home and donating the pieces to Habitat.
"It's just a matter of looking beyond yourself and wanting to help other people and empowering other people by helping out the community and showing the love of Christ in practical ways like you can see," said ORU Junior, Erin Jacobi.
ORU hosts Community Outreach twice a year.
