The first annual Kendall Whittier Art Walk features three different venues around Admiral and Lewis.
The three stops on the tour include Ziegler Art and Frame featuring its semi-annual one day sale. The Tulsa Girls Art School featuring its spring show and the Circle Cinema will host a reception for the Tulsa Arts Studio Tour which is put on by the Oklahoma Visual Artists Coalition.
The Tulsa Girls School, which has been open for about a year, will showcase more than 50 paintings as well as other mediums of work from girls starting in the third grade. The show is called "Come to Our Table."
"There will be ceramics, quilts the girls are working on and of course they paintings what they love to work and where they shine," said Asst. Director of GAS Maggie Regan.
Young and old, those well known and those just now breaking into the business, the walk is all about getting to know the talents of Green Country artists.
It's important to note the venues will provide refreshments and a chance to talk one-on-one with some of the artists. A very unique auction will also take place.
"Each artist this year was paired with a Tulsa community figure. and they did collaborative artworks and those will be on auction tomorrow night," said Elizabeth Downing, Tulsa photographer.
The OVAC event is a preview for the Tulsa Art Studio Tour. That tour isn't until April 12-13 the preview exhibition will be in conjunction with the first annual Kendall Whittier Art Walk Thursday night.
"The show also continues for the next two months so come on down to the circle cinema and take look at the exhibition and take a look at some of the work from local artists," said Downing.
