Man Stabbed While Breaking Up Bar Fight

A man was stabbed overnight on Sunday after trying to breakup a bar fight. Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say the stabbing happened around 1:30 a.m. just outside of Side Line Sports Bar at 5936 South Lewis.

A couple was kicked out of the bar for fighting. Then, the man hit his girlfriend in the face. Someone nearby saw what was happening and stepped in. That's when police say the man stabbed the witness in the leg.

Police say the suspect ran away. The woman was arrested because police say she would not cooperate with them.

The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The search for the suspect continues.
