A "routine landing" turned out to be anything but routine for passengers and crew aboard an airline flight from Oklahoma City to Houston Thursday.
Four tires on a Continental Airlines jet blew out as the airplane landed and something near the engine caught fire. All 113 passengers and the crew got out safely.
Airport crews foamed down the plane.
Continental spokeswoman Susannah Thurston said passengers had to be taken by bus to the gates but there were no injuries and no emergency evacuation was necessary.
The flight from Oklahoma City landed about 6 p.m. Thursday at Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport.
