Injured Bald Eagle Rescued

Despite the way he looks, a bald eagle is alive and getting medical help.  Wayne Harwood and his wife were out picking up sod on Monday when they found the bird near 121^st and Memorial in Bixby.

Harwood says at first, he thought it was a turkey buzzard, until his wife said it may be a bald eagle.

"The wife seen some eagles flying around here and I thought well, it could be an eagle.  And, lo and behold it was," said Wayne Harwood.

The Harwoods called state wildlife officials who came and picked up  the injured eagle.  It will go through rehab and then be released back out into the wild.
