Austin Hansen and William Christiansen

Austin Hansen and Bill Christiansen are candidates for Tulsa City Council District 8. 

Democrat Austin Hansen is employed by American Airlines as an Overhaul Support Mechanic.  A longtime resident of Tulsa, he has lived in District 8 for about 18 months.  He became interested in city government after working with city engineers in an attempt to get a traffic light installed at a busy city street.

Hansen is single with no children.

Bill Christiansen, incumbant, is a Republican candidate for City Council District 8.  He holds a commercial pilots license and is president of Christiansen Aviation based at the Jenks Riverside Airport.  He is also an adjunct profession at OSU-Tulsa in the aviation department.

Christiansen has resident in District 8 for 10 years.  He currently serves as City Councilor for District 8.  Christiansen is married with two children.  He is a member of Southside Rotary and is a corporate sponsor of the Jenks Public School's "Adopt a Classroom" program.
