Auto-Pedestrian Accident Leaves One Dead

One person is killed in an auto-pedestrian accident overnight.

The accident happened at 11:45 pm Wednesday at 6th and Lewis.  Tulsa Police say a woman was driving south on Lewis when her vehicle veered to the left and hit a man who was walking.  The impact knocked the man into the air and he landed beside the woman's car. The vehicle then struck a utility pole. 

The unidentified driver was taken to a Tulsa hospital for some minor injuries. 

The victim's name has not been released. 

Tulsa Police are checking to see if alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
