Victory's been the theme for the Union girl's basketball team all season. A 26-0 record; one game away from a perfect season.
"It's probably the most special team I've been a part of," said Union senior guard Lindsay Palmer. "We're all really close, we care about each other and if someone makes a big play we all get excited.
"You know you want to be in that game," said Union Head Coach Jim Stacy. "Through hard work and effort we get the opportunity and we're thrilled."
Despite being undefeated, the Union girls think they have more in common with opponents than one might think.
"We're all in the same boat that this point," said Palmer. "We're just trying to accomplish a goal we set a long time ago."
Unblemished and dominant for the 2007-08 campaign, Union knows its season won't be complete without hoisting the Gold Ball.
"One more would be the icing on the cake - the ultimate," Stacy said.
"Most important game of our life - pretty much," Palmer added.
