McAlester Murder Trial Underway

Jury selection is underway in Pittsburg County in the trial of a McAlester man accused of killing his wife. 

Erick Stachmus called McAlester Police in November of 2006 saying he had come home to found his wife dead in their hot tub.   

The state Medical Examiner's report says Rebecca Stachmus had been beaten, and then strangled.  

Opening arguments are expected to begin Wednesday afternoon.
