The Tulsa Zoo license plate project is underway.  Soon you could be seeing polar bears, giraffes and chimpanzees tagging along the cars of Green Country.

Tulsa Zoo Friends members have chosen three of their favorite animals to be featured on the zoos recently released license plate designs. Now the final design is up to the public.

The Tulsa Zoo needs to receive 500 pre-paid applications by March 31st in order to meet the state requirements and make the plate the latest edition to Oklahoma's specialty plate collection.

"It's a great cause and then a really cool accessory for your car," said Angela Evans.

The NewsOn6.com team is looking forward to the new collector plate for our Zion.

The plates cost $37, 20 of which goes directly to benefiting the zoo.

So far there have only been 20 ordered, so more orders are crucial.

"Now we're looking to the community to go online and vote for their favorite one," said Angela Evans.

The choice is up to you. This is the perfect time to show off your wild side to drivers across the sooner state, as well as give back to the community.

Now if 500 orders are not placed, the money will be refunded immediately.

So which one's your favorite? Log on and vote and help make the Tulsa Zoo make history with the first ever Tulsa Zoo license plate.

By the way each design was created from actual photos of the animals. The best idea might be to go see the animals at the zoo and see which one best expresses your personality-or at the least the personality of your car.
