Tulsa police are once again asking for help to solve a terrible hit-and-run that still haunts the victim's family and investigators.  A young pregnant woman was run over and left for dead.  News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports Amber Renfro was walking along South Mingo Road, so she could catch a bus on January 19th at 2:15 p.m.

Renfro and her family had just overcome a tragedy and were ready to celebrate the birth of her child in a couple of months, but then the unthinkable happened.

"For whatever reason, witnesses state the vehicle that was northbound, crossed into southbound and strikes the victim from behind. The vehicle doesn't stop," said TPD Officer Leland Ashley.

Renfro's injuries were dire and doctors had to perform an emergency c-section.  While Amber would survive, her baby would not and the family was once again dealing with a tragedy.

Witnesses described the vehicle as a white Jeep.

"Maybe someone was in the vehicle at the time and felt they might get in trouble. We're just asking they come forward now," said Officer Ashley.

Investigators are desperate to solve this case in order to give the Renfro family some answers and healing.
