A state wildlife official says those who hunt and fish on private timberland in eastern Oklahoma may soon lose access.
The state is negotiating a new contract with Weyerhaeuser Corporation for outdoor sports activities on the paper producer's 450,000 acres.
A 10 year contract between the state and the company that allowed hunting and fishing on the property is about to expire and the company wants new restrictions.
Weyerhaeuser says it's concerned about the safety of those who hunt, fish and engage in other outdoor activities on its property.
