Attempted Theft Ends In Death

An apparent theft comes to a deadly end.   Tulsa police tell The News On 6 an alleged thief was killed after being run over on Highway 169.

An alleged thief is dead after stealing merchandise from a Best Buy store on Thursday. Tulsa police tell The News On 6 an alleged thief was killed after being run over on Highway 169.

Officers say the man stole some merchandise from the Best Buy near 71^st and Highway 169. He took off on foot across the highway and that's when police say he was struck by an SUV and killed.
