Some Oklahomans are on their way to help victims of Tuesday night's deadly storms. Tulsa's American Red Cross is sending two volunteers to Cotter, Arkansas.

Jan Forthman is one of them. Forthman has helped with past disasters in Oklahoma including ice storms and floods. She said the Red Cross brings a much needed sense of calm during times of crisis.

"It's very well thought out, prepared. We do a lot of preparation in the year to make sure that when this does happen, everyone knows what their job is," said American Red Cross volunteer Jan Forthman.

Forthman and another volunteer left this afternoon in a truck packed with water and food. They will pick up more supplies once they get to Arkansas.
