As ice storm debris shrinks along Green Country curbsides, many are now working to revive troubled trees. A coalition of Tulsa organizations that specialize in tree education will host tree care seminars. The seminars are free and open to the public. Organizers say having the right tools is the key to rehabbing your trees.
"Each tree needs to be looked at individually. And a big part of it is that, did the damage go into the heart of the tree? Did you lose a major branch? Where you're cutting in there, did you lose so much of it that the tree isn't going to come back?" said Anna America, Up With Trees.
The seminars are held at the OSU Extension office and at area Tulsa Community College locations. The next seminar is on February 5th.
