Tulsa burglary detectives are hoping you can help catch a couple crooks who helped themselves to prescription drugs at a Med-X store. The News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports the break-in happened in the early morning hours.
The surveillance video from the Med-X at 5234 North Peoria from New Year's Eve at two in the morning shows the burglars coming into the store from the roof.
"They drop down into the store and steal several prescription drugs. They were in the store a short amount of time," said Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley.
Most of that time, they were crawling around on the floor, trying to avoid the security cameras, but when one tried to make his getaway through the front door and realized he couldn't because it was locked, he couldn't avoid the camera.
"Didn't realize he couldn't get out that way and when he turns around, he's almost looking dead on at the camera," said Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley.
So, the burglars went out the same way they came in, through the hole in the roof.
Anyone with any information about the drug store robbery is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You don't have to give your name and if your tip leads to an arrest, the Citizens Crime Commission will pay you a cash reward.
