WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) Paul Smith threw for 390 yards and Tulsa totaled 622 yards of total offense, helping the Golden Hurricane beat Army 49-39 on Saturday.
Army (3-8) lost its fifth consecutive game and second at home, despite totaling a season-high 491 yards of offense.
Jeremy Trimble caught 11 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, setting two Army career records 15 TDs and 2,325 yards receiving.
But it wasn't enough to beat Tulsa (8-3), which entered the game averaging almost 537 yards, second-most in the nation. The Golden Hurricane won their fourth consecutive game and have won six of their last eight.
Tarrion Adams ran for 118 yards and two touchdowns, Trae Johnson caught nine passes for 119 yards and a score, and Brennan Marion caught two long passes for 110 yards, one of them a touchdown.
