It's the time of year for people to look back at all the things they’re thankful for. Students at Regent Preparatory School gave thanks for their grandparents today with song and dance. More than 300 students took part in the special presentation for Grandparents Day.
The school says the celebration, with singing of old hymns, serves as a reminder of its Christian values.
"I love the fact that we emphasize the heritage of the children, the Godly heritage of the children,†said Peggy Peters, grandmother of a Regent Preparatory School student. “That is an emphasis here at this school: to carry on and to provide that training for these children."
After the program, grandparents were able to check out the student's semester projects and art work.
