LOCUST GROVE, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities say a Tahlequah woman who was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash has died. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Yumi Fujisawa died just after 2 p.m. Tuesday at a Tulsa hospital.
The patrol says Fujisawa and four others were traveling in a car headed south on Oklahoma Highway 82 when the driver failed to negotiate a turn about 11 p.m. Monday.
Troopers say the vehicle ran off the road, hit a ditch, overturned twice and came to rest on its wheels.
The OHP says Fujisawa wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown through the driver's side rear window by the impact.
Nineteen-year-old passenger Yuma Kikuta was flown by medical helicopter to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition.
The driver and two other passengers were treated at a hospital and released.
