Teen Accused Of Using Meat Cleaver To Steal Cigarettes

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A 19-year-old woman is facing felony robbery charges for allegedly using a meat cleaver to threaten a convenience store owner in Muskogee and stealing two cartons of cigarettes. Prosecutors say Brittany Wilson told Muskogee Police she was desperate for a cigarette.

Police say Wilson went into the store with a meat cleaver and a bandanna over her face and demanded two cartons of cigarettes and threatened the storeowner and his wife.

The storeowner managed to get the license number of the car Wilson left in and police later arrested her and a 15-year-old girl who was with her.

The 15-year-old's name was not released and prosecutors say she is being held in a juvenile center.
