A missing Tulsa County detention officer who had not been seen for several days has contacted Sand Springs Police and is apparently safe. 31-year-old Kimberly Johnson reportedly disappeared Saturday after calling in sick.
Sand Springs Police said Johnson was found by Tulsa Police in a Tulsa hospital early Wednesday morning.
Sand Springs Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter says Johnson has since checked out of the hospital and it was not clear why she was there or why she disappeared. Carter says they are still investigating the case.
