LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) _ Former Oklahoma State golfer and Edmond resident Scott Verplank finished third in the final PGA Tour event of the year.
Verplank began the final round tied for the lead with Stephen Ames in the Children's Miracle Network Classic in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Ames shot a 4-under 68 to win by one shot over Tim Clark while Verplank shot 71 to tie with Oklahoma City native Tag Ridings and Robert Gamez for third.
