The Junior League of Tulsa is helping St. Francis Hospitals new Children's Hospital.
On Monday, the Junior League gave $25,000 to furnish the hospital's soon-to-be family resource center. The Junior League will also donate 12,000 volunteer hours to operate the center.
"We're coming up on our 85th anniversary in 2008, so we also felt like this was a great way to commemorate our 85th year in Tulsa, and also show Tulsa our commitment to be here for at least another 85 more," said Shelli Holland-Handy, Junior League of Tulsa.
Saint Francis's Children's Hospital, located at 61st and Yale, will open in January.
