CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) -- Gas prices are soaring. The national average price rose about 16 cents over the last two weeks, according to the lastest Lundberg survey out on Sunday.
The average price of regular was $2.96 a gallon as of Friday. Mid-grade was $3.08, while premium was $3.19.
Oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg says the nation's lowest prices were in Newark, New Jersey. A gallon of regular cost $2.73, on average there. The highest was in San Francisco at $3.28.
