Princesses, cows and bumblebees, The News On 6’s Rick Wells took part judging a costume contest on Tuesday night, but this wasn't just any contest, this was a competition for the dogs.
Woodland West Animal Hospital and Pet Resort, located at 9380 South Union Street in Tulsa, hosted the event. Twenty dogs showed up dressed to impress, competing for four prizes.
First place was awarded to Lizzie who came as a newshound. The rescued Doberman came equipped with a camera and working monitor. Lizzie's not only a rescue dog; she also has a surgically repaired pelvis.
But believe it or not, she wasn't the top dog. A Great Dane dressed as a genie took that honor.
