LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The killer of the "Saw" franchise may be dead, but his sadistic spirit lives on.
The fourth installment in Lionsgate's "Saw" series opened atop the weekend box office, bringing in more than $32.1 million. The results were on par with the debut of "Saw III," which opened just before Halloween last year.
Debuting at No. 2 was Disney's "Dan in Real Life." The romance, starring Steve Carell, Juliette Binoche and Dane Cook, took in $12.1 million.
"30 Days of Night," "The Game Plan" and "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?" rounded out the top five.
