BOSTON (AP) -- Stillwater native Matt Holliday had a less than memorable World Series debut.

Matt Holliday went 0-for-4, struck out twice and grounded into a double play as the Colorado Rockies lost Game One 13-1 to Boston Wednesday night. Holliday is a leading candidate to win the National League MVP award and was named MVP of the League Championship Series.

Game Two of the World Series is Thursday night in Boston.
