ELK CITY, Okla. (AP) -- Nearly 2000 pounds of marijuana has been seized by a drug task force in western Oklahoma. Elk City Police Chief Bill Putnam says the drugs were found in a tractor-trailer rig on Interstate 40 in Beckham County.
The marijuana has a street value of about $3.5 million.
Putnam says Ricardo Gutierrez and Juan Padilla were in the rig. Both were arrested for trafficking marijuana. He says both men are from California.
