Southbound Highway 169 is open after a dump truck overturned shutting down the highway. The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at 36th Street North and U.S. Highway 169, it shut the highway down for nearly two hours.
The highway reopened around 9:30 a.m.
The truck was westbound on 36th Street North going onto southbound Highway 169 when the rear axles on the trailer somehow came off, said police. That apparently caused the driver to lose control of the truck, which rolled onto its side across both lanes of southbound 169.
