The northeastern Oklahoma fugitive task force captured one of Tulsa's most wanted criminals. Jermaine Jeffery was arrested on Monday afternoon in the 1700 block of Woodrow Street, sources tell The News On 6. Twenty-eight year old Jeffery is charged with felony murder in connection with the death of 19-year-old Keisha Williamson.
According to Tulsa police, Jeffery tried to shoot his girlfriend at 8th and Wheeling on September 7, but missed. His girlfriend called police with a description, and minutes later officers spotted Jeffery’s truck speeding down Apache. Police say by the time they caught up to the vehicle, Jeffery had forced Keishia Williamson's car into a pole. Williamson later died from her injuries.
Jeffery’s wrecked pickup was found in a wooded area off 36th Street North and Lewis in Tulsa, but he’d run from the scene. Officers say a weapon was recovered from the wreckage of Jeffery’s truck.
